I lost my instruction manual. Where can I download it?

You can download WISPI's instruction manual here.

What comes in the box?

Each box comes with a WISPI humidifier (which includes a base, a water tank, a cover and an oil tray in the back), an Type A wall plug/cable and an instruction manual. Please contact us at support@littlehippo.com if you are missing any of those items.

Will the wall adapter work in my country?

WISPI comes with a dual voltage/universal wall adapter (120-240 V) so you do not need a converter. Because WISPI comes with a type A adapter, if you are outside of North and Central America and Japan, you will require an adapter to fit your socket.

Something is wrong with my WISPI. How can I troubleshoot it?

The first step is to consult page 17 of your instruction manual for common troubleshooting steps. If WISPI is still not working properly after that, please reach out to us at support@littlehippo.com

I hate cleaning humidifiers. How often do I need to clean WISPI?

Unfortunately, like all other humidifiers, WISPI does need to be cleaned. For best results and to prevent bacterial growth, we recommend turning off and emptying WISPI's tank and base daily. We recommend keeping the tank open to fully dry. Periodically (and always at the end of the season if putting it away) clean the water tank by filling it halfway with water and adding 2 tablespoons of white vinegar. Shake the tank and allow it to sit for 20 minutes before rinsing the tank with plain water. Repeat with the base using 1 tablespoon of vinegar.

What is the demineralization filter used for?

WISPI comes with one optional demineralization filter which can help reduce what is commonly known as "white dust" that can accumulate on your surfaces due to using hard water. We recommend using distilled water but if you use tap water with WISPI, we recommend keeping the demineralization filter in so that it can collect the mineral deposits and prevent them from misting into the air and gathering on your surfaces. Replacement filters can be found for purchase separately on our website.

How do I use WISPI as a diffuser?

WISPI can be used as a diffuser via the oil tray in the back of the unit. We do not recommend putting oils directly into the water tank. WISPI's diffuser works by blowing air across the essential oil pad. Start with 5-10 drops of essential oil. If you prefer a stronger scent, add 10-15 drops of essential oil onto the pad. WISPI comes with three oil pads but replacement oil pads can be purchased separately on our website.
