I especially appreciate that each hand is a different color. It takes a AA battery (not included). The price is great, also and it’s decent quality.

I love the colorful visual details this clock provides for early learners. It makes explaining how to tell time much easier because the kids can always reference back to the colors and labels. I had already purchased a clock for my third-grade classroom, but when I saw this clock, I knew I had to have it! It has the hour and minute hand labeled, and each is a different color. It has the quarter and half hours in different colors. The minutes are labeled 1-59 instead of just being dots on the clock. This is the perfect clock for third grade, where the concepts of quarter hours and telling time to the exact minute are essential topics. This clock is perfect!

The LittleHippo Learning Clock for Kids is basically perfect. Everything about it makes learning to tell time easy and fun. The font is clear and easy to read, the hands are labeled, the numbers are colored differently, and the minutes are identified by number. The clock is itself is appears very well made and is simply to operate. The total package is just beautiful and functional. The teaching aspect is subtle enough and the overall look sophisticated and attractive enough to that it could still be used as just a standard wall clock. I am putting it in my classroom, but it is great for the home too.Included QR code provided access to a online guide to teaching your child to tell time that is very well done.

I wanted a more appealing clock in my classroom rather than the typical black and white office clocks. I really like the colors of this, but was uncertain if it would be big enough to see from across the room. The font is big and thick enough to be visible from at least 20 feet away! The gold frame is beautiful, and the labeled parts are a nice touch. The second hand runs smoothly and quietly; it does not 'tick'! That is a huge win for students and teachers who are easily overwhelmed and distracted by noise. The time was very easy to set, and it has kept time accurately so far.

I have a soon to be second grader, who has a hard time with telling time. This clock is perfect for our homeschool. It’s easy for him to read and understand, and it has dramatically helped him with understanding a clock. I am very pleased with it. It takes 1 AA battery (not included) and is super easy to set. It has a place on the back to hang it up on the wall, and even though it’s a colorful learning tool, it also looks nice hanging up on our living room wall. You can hear the ticking, but it’s very quiet and not something I notice unless I’m listening for it specifically.

Excellent clock for helping kids learn to tell time. My seven year old has learned the basics of telling time, but still slips up here and there. This has really helped her differentiate the hour, minute and second hands as well as the minute increments. We have this displayed in her bedroom, at a height that is on her level, so she doesn't have to peer up to read it. It has greatly increased her confidence in learning to correctly tell time. For military families it also shows what the correct military time would be...which is also helpful for adults! I also like that it is non-ticking, so it can easily go into a nursery or sleeping area and it won't keep kids awake. It seems very well made, good quality and nothing is loose. Easy to install the batteries (not included). Excellent value, great functionality, and super helpful.

This kid’s learning clock is a really neat way to help my 6-year-old learn to tell time. It has everything I was hoping for in a teaching clock—especially the inclusion of those helpful 15-minute time terms like “quarter past,” “half past,” “quarter to,” and “o’clock.” That’s something our previous clock didn’t have, and it makes a big difference for teaching real-world time reading.I also really like that the hour and minute hands are clearly labeled with the words "hour" and "minute" right on them. It takes the guesswork out and helps reinforce which is which while he's learning.That said, I was surprised (and honestly a little disappointed) to find that the face was covered with real glass. Ours arrived with the glass shattered, which felt like an unnecessary safety risk considering this is a kid-focused learning tool. Plexiglass or even just a sturdy plastic cover would make a lot more sense here. I ended up carefully removing all the broken pieces and cleaning it thoroughly, and it’s still usable, but that part definitely felt like a design oversight.UPDATE 8/8/2025 ****I contacted the company about the broken glass and they offered to send a replacement free of charge. I haven't recieved my replacement yet, but they said they've started using a non-glass material so I'll be sure to come back and update my review once that arrives****

The clock is cute and colorful, making it a great tool for teaching kids how to tell time. I like that it has labels for “Quarter Past,” “Half Past,” and “Quarter To,” which makes learning easier. However, the clock feels a bit cluttered with too many numbers and colors, which can be overwhelming at times. The build is decent but not very sturdy. Overall, it’s helpful for kids but could be designed in a simpler, more durable way.

The only flaw I see is the glass face. Perhaps I missed it in the listing, but this clock come with a glass face, which obviously means one shouldn't leave it I a kiddos hands. Hung from a wall and out of reach, 5 stars, easy

I really like the colorful clock face and the easy to read numbers. The color of the frame around the outside of the clock color is not my favorite and I plan on painting it which will just take a few minutes. The frame is a pale yellow with a tiny bit of wood grain in the color, but the color is just too yellow for me.

This adorable LittleHippo learning Clock is a great addition to our family. The different colors on it bring out all the cuteness. The clock is color coded & labeled making it easier for the little ones wanting to learn to tell time, in reg time and/or military time . It uses chronological rainbow colors, the hour, minute & quarters are all labeled. I love how it has the look of a faux wood grain frame surrounding the colorful clock. The face displays all 24 hours & 60 minutes. It has 3 hands hour, minute & second. I do prefer plexi-glass rather than the real glass it comes with. What it Doesn'T come with is that annoying tic tic tic tic sound that you hear on most clocks, and it doesn't even cost extra. The money I spent on this clock was money well spent, it's worth every penny. It takes 1 AA battery & 1 nail and its ready to hang. Check it out

I love this clock! The color is super cute and the design is actually helpful…the indicators make it so much easier for my kids to understand how to tell time. It’s quiet (no annoying ticking), which I appreciate, and it’s just a great learning tool overall. My kids like it too, which is a win! I honestly want to get one for each of their rooms. First of all, the quality on this clock is amazing. It feels very sturdy and doesn't feel flimsy. I feel like this can survive a couple drops, lol. It is made of excellent materials and it feels pretty premium.The colors are very fun and vibrant. Everything is very clear and easy to read. Even the clock hands are labeled and colored, I can't get over how they paid attention to every little detail.Best of all, there is no ticking! The seconds hand is silent and I can't say how much I appreciate that. For the price it is currently going for, this is a steal!

This is a super cute learning clock for our 7 year old. It is easy to read and easy to explain. As a result, it is easier for her to make sense to telling time on an analog clock as opposed to a digital one. The bright colors look great in her room too.

Great for all ages to learn how to tell the time size of the numbers is great. The different coloring is amazing because little kids can pinpoint oh it’s 12 o’clock pretty simple and easy to use as well. Pop-up battery in it and let it do its thing. Amazing quality.

Edit: After submitting this for an exchange, the seller promptly sent a new clock. It arrived quickly and was undamaged. It works well, makes no ticking noise, and the rainbow-colored numbers are fun. The outside is a nice wood-grained pattern, which looks great on the wall. It is also a good size at 10 inches and can be seen from far away. We are satisfied with this purchase and exchange.This clock was defective when it first arrived. The hour hand just hung from the center straight down, and could not be controlled by setting the time. Only the minute hand and second hand worked. I tried putting a battery in, and only the minute and second hand moved around the clock. I requested a replacement from the manufacturer and will update this review if it arrives.

I am so excited to have this teaching clock. The markings are colorful and fun, and they are excellent for teaching kids how to read an analog clock. This is very easy to use, and was a great price! I have been using it a lot, and it is still like new: very good quality product.

I like the simple and systematic use of colors. Every part of the clock face is labeled/color coded. The only thing I didn't like about it was the color/decal of the frame itself. In the product photo, the frame looks like a light colored wood, even with a wood grain. In person, it's not wood, it's plastic with a print or decal of wood on it. The color is more like a distressed pale or pastel yellow. It's not really noticeable if you're at least 2ft away from it so aesthetics is not a big problem for me, just that it wasn't very clear in the photos. Functionally, the clock works great. This is the quietest analog clock I've ever had. Barely hear any ticking without the clock held against my ear. The material feels sturdy and of quality plastic.

Works great! Using it to help teach my kids to tell time, the bright colors and easily defined numbers helps them to learn and remember. It's a traditionally sized clock so I can keep it on the wall and it's still easy for them to read the numbers. It's really cute and well made, the edge is plastic but looks like wood grain, the front is glass. The timing is accurate and its easy to setup. Good price for a nice clock, the kids love it.

I got this clock to teach my 3 year old how to tell time on an analog clock. It is of quality, and durable craftsmanship. I like that the second, minute, and hour hands are different colors, making it even easier for my son to learn them, and tell them apart. It is just right size to easily handle durring learning. Perfect for our needs!
